Thank you for understanding—due to limited funding, we are only taking in based on situation at this time. We’re working hard to secure resources.
At Sage’s Haven Animal Resource Krew (Sage’s HARK), we believe that every person and every pet deserves compassion, respect, and opportunity. Our mission to provide support, training, and advocacy for animals and their guardians is deeply rooted in our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
We recognize that animal welfare intersects with broader social issues, including access to resources, mental health support, and systemic barriers to pet ownership. We are dedicated to creating an environment that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and abilities, ensuring that our programs and services are accessible to those who need them most.
Sage’s HARK is committed to addressing disparities in pet care and ownership. We strive to:
Provide affordable or free training for pet owners seeking certification for their service animals.
Offer emotional support animals (ESAs) to individuals who may not have the financial means to obtain one.
Educate the public on misunderstood breeds and advocate for fair treatment of all animals.
Partner with mental health facilities to expand access to therapy dogs for those in need.
We value diverse voices in animal advocacy and encourage participation from underrepresented communities. Our shelter fosters an inclusive space where volunteers, adopters, fosters, and advocates from all walks of life can contribute to meaningful change.
Sage’s HARK is a place where everyone—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, or background—can feel welcome and valued. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or bias in any form.
DEI is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to continuous learning, growth, and adaptation. We welcome feedback, collaboration, and partnerships that help us build a more equitable and compassionate world for both people and pets.
At Sage’s HARK, we believe that when we uplift one another, we create a stronger, kinder, and more inclusive community—for both humans and the animals who depend on us.
Join us in making a difference.
